[WIP] Girl with Hair Beads

Currently learning how to color in Photoshop with a tablet. ;P I've done it before with varying degrees of success, but this is the first time I'm actually going to do it on a regular basis unless I get a different program to color with. (Painter maybe?)

I think I need to redo the eyes again. >.< Maybe too purple or something... I think I want them to be more indigo-y. Constructive criticism is welcome, though technically this isn't even finished yet. ^^;

I think it's looking great so far, quite nice =) I think the eyes look fine (but I like purple eyes so I may be a little bit biased towards the color ;P heh); but indigo instead of purple would look good too.
How are you going to color the beads? Since the hair is fairly light darker colors (and maybe leaving a bit of plain white) might work best and stand out from the hair I think.

BTW, have you thought of a name for this girl? For some reason seeing this picture beginning to be colored makes me feel that this girl needs a name.

Hehe, thanks! :D Actually, I worked on it some more last night, so now that screenshot is out of date. ^^;;; I figured out why the eyes were bothering me... The purple in the base color was too bright, I think. So I've toned it down a bit... Made the purple "gray-er", so now it looks fine to me.

I think at least one of the beads is going to be a nice blue color. ^^ But besides that, I haven't decided what other colors for the beads yet. I want to make nice designs for the beads too, but I probably need to put the base colors on first before I think about the designs on the beads.

You know, I haven't thought of a name for her yet. She should probably get a name, but right now, I'm blank. I don't want to call her "Yuna-look alike" because besides the beads, there's really not much else that makes her look like Yuna. She does remind me of Sakura from CardCaptor Sakura, but that's about it. I think it's the hair color that makes her look like Sakura.

Yeah, I think blue will work really well ^_^ And designs on the beads will make them stand out even more. So everything sounds great so far =)

As for a name, I don't currently have any suggestions at the moment. Honestly, most of the time the name is the last thing I come up with for a character =P heh

I've started working on the beads a bit, but might take a while. I haven't decided on the colors for four of the center beads yet.

As for the character's name, I was thinking about the name "Amber" since her hair color reminds me of honey and amber is around that color... (I guess?) I haven't figured out a last name if I'm gonna give her one. ^^;
